Framework Agreement Description

The Cloud Solutions Framework Agreement offers a simple, compliant route to purchase cloud infrastructure and cloud optimisation solutions for NHS and public sector authorities. This framework for cloud infrastructure provides access to 24 carefully selected suppliers and offers bespoke and off-the-shelf solutions, covering cloud solution design, cloud consultancy, Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) and Software as a service (SaaS), plus end-to-end cloud solutions and cloud managed service.

Overview of the cloud solutions framework agreement
The cloud solutions framework agreement provides a simple, OJEU compliant route to purchase cloud infrastructure and cloud optimisation solutions for NHS and public sector authorities.
The framework provides access to 24 carefully selected suppliers and offers bespoke and off-the-shelf solutions from cloud solution design and as-is assessment to end-to-end cloud solutions.
• Lot 1 Solution Design and Consultancy
• Lot 2 Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Lot 3 Cloud Support Services
• Lot 4 End-to-end Cloud Solutions

What are the benefits of using the framework?
• LONG-TERM CONTRACTING
Framework users are permitted to call-off for up to 7 years.
• AGILE & INNOVATIVE FRAMEWORK
Suppliers will be able to bring forward new products and solutions throughout the life of the agreement.
• DIRECT AWARD
Ability to directly award a contract to approved suppliers on the framework agreement.
• MINI-COMPETITION
Opportunity to run a mini-competition to meet the bespoke requirements of each organisation as well as helping to drive further competitive pricing.
• ACCESS TO OGVA PRICING
OGVA pricing can be accessed via appointed AWS partners.
• NHS & WIDER PUBLIC SECTOR
Available for use by the NHS and wider public sector including government, education authorities and local councils.
• HIGHEST QUALITY OF SERVICE PROVISION
There are twenty four selected suppliers. The award is restricted to the top 10 or 20 outstanding suppliers per Lot, following a rigorous tender process.
• SIMPLE TO USE
The framework agreement is structured to guide customers through their cloud journey. From consultancy and readiness assessment, to the procurement of cloud infrastructure, on-going support, in-house skills development and cloud optimisation.
• 'ONE STOP SHOP'
Includes a wraparound end-to-end cloud solution (Lot 4) for organisations requiring more support.

Which suppliers are on the framework agreement?

Scope of the framework agreement: Lot Structure

• Lot 1 Solution Design and Consultancy

Includes initial support ahead of Cloud adoption/implementation, analysis/mapping of 'as is' situation, cloud readiness assessments, architecture design, migration planning and more.

• Lot 2 Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)

Includes public cloud and/or private and hybrid cloud hosting, processing, storage, networks, applications running on a cloud infrastructure and more.

• Lot 3 Cloud Support Services

Includes real time support, access to professional expertise plus a wide range of ongoing or ad hoc specialist support services.

• Lot 4 End-to-end Cloud Solutions

All of the above under one Lot for a complete end to end solution.
